Rokoko Vision is a browser-based AI motion capture solution that aims to simplify and democratize character animation. It allows you to utilize a standard webcam to record or upload previous footage (or anything you have on your computer) and get realistic 3D motion data from your input within minutes—all without requiring expensive hardware. You can choose the free single-camera option for very short clips (15 seconds or less) if all you want to do is learn or do a quick test. If you're curious or want more professional results, you can check out the dual-camera feature, which gets you greater depth accuracy and less jittery motion tracking and adds reliability via a trial or Plus subscription plan. Once you have captured animations from Rokoko Vision, you can export them as.FBX or.BVH files and even do further refinement in Rokoko Studio with additional cleanup filters, skeleton retargeting, and editing, etc. It can also be used directly in the most popular 3D software, including Blender, Maya, Unity, and Unreal Engine. Rokoko Vision embodies a useful stage in a workflow for both indie developers and larger projects.
